Can't install ZorinOS | The installer closes

Hello! I have this problem. I'm trying to install ZorinOS, but as soon as I enter the username and all that and click on Continue, the installer just closes and the installation doesn't go.

On top of that, when I try to restart the installation I get the error "ubi-partman failed with exit code 10. Further information may be found in /var/log/syslog. Do you want to try running this step again before continuing? If you so not, your installation may fail entirely or may be broken"

After that I tried manually partitioning the disk, but the installer still closes itself.

Please help

First: Check the SHA256 checksum of your downloaded .iso file against the Zorin website published value. ref: Before you install

Then, see:

Just substitute zorin for ubuntu. ZorinOS 17 is based on Ubuntu 22.04 but the principles should still be valid from Ubuntu 18.04

What did "/var/log/syslog" have to say?

It may be the coward's way out, but I use Easeus to partition my disks. Then I just recycle the Ext4 partitions when I change distros or versions.

The other foolproof method is to install a second drive just for linux partitions. Makes life simple.

Second drives are fine if you have a Desktop. And only highend Notebooks have an SSD for the OS and a HDD for Data. We don't know what the OP's hardware is that they are trying to install to.

I have similar problem. During the installation on name and password screen I get an error and after that it can't reboot. Had to install Linux Mint. Secure boot and fast boot is disabled, checksums are check, usb iso integrity is checked. Everything should be fine but somehow I still cannot instal zorin. I've got i3 4x1,7 and 4g of ram. Can anyone help?

Can you provide a screenshot of the actual error you see.

It only says that the instalator encountered error and that it will close. After quitting the live session, the grub is broken. I checked some logs and I saw bluetooth errors.

Can you provide an English translation of second error screen, or cut-and-paste the text into your post so others can do an online translation.

it says thaat there was a problem and info about it will be sent to devs

Have you seen this useful pre-installation advice: Before you install

Yes, I've done everything to install it. I think there is a problem with the installer itself.
