Hi dear all, I use Zorin 17 core without any issue for a long time with chrome browser, suddenly when I try to login to a specific website and submit my credentials I receive the message "missing CAPTCHA token" I tried many possible ways such as other browser (firefox brave, or deactivating all of my extensions e.g. ghostery), I created a bootable DVD with mint and tried to login, the problem exists. The only way to login is to use my 5 years old chromebook with chrome browser. Is any other who has the same experience? Any idea how to solve it is more than welcomed.
Given each of the above as well as:
This looks like a WebSite error.
Have you tried contacting that websites maintainer to report/resolve the issue?
Hi, thank you for taking the time to answer, I haven't reported it to the site owners I'm pretty sure they won't understand as I'm able to login e.g. from Chromebook, personally, I believe that it's a google's update regarding the captcha which currently is not supported by linux.
If that were true, there would be a lot more websites showing this issue and a lot more people reporting it. Everything points to an issue with the specific website.
Since you mention that the owners wouldn't understand this issue, I'm guessing they didn't build the website by themselves, and instead are using some third party hosting. Often times, these services use needlessly strict security rules, such as restricting access to less common user agents:
You can use an extension to change your browser's user-agent so that your Linux machine shows up as Windows to the eyes of the web server.
thanks I give a try
