Chat im cooked🙌😭(read down below)

First of all im really really sorry.at this point the community might as well be fed up with me.but im in serious need of help pleaaaseeeee.
For context : i did a fresh install, everything was normal, smooth sailing.just like a normal zorin install.i had setup everything installed all my apps anew, transferred all my data.

To run my games i ofcource needed to install wine.so i followed the glorious eggrolls tutorial of "how to get out of wine dependency hell'.there were a few errors and some thing probably didnt install.but i still headed on.

To play my games i did :backhand_index_pointing_down:
everything worked fine until as yall know,to install vcrun (c++ /c#) libraries in a wine prefix,i used winetricks.normal right?
It gave an error.i found out that the error was due to a specific "wine 32".
So i installed it.
(Here the fun begins)
Right after installing,i dont know why,the gnome introduction page showed up.like all the ,welcome to gnome 43 ,or smth.after that, the zorin welcome page showed up(which usually shows up right after installation).at the same time once again my wifi stopped working:sob::sob:.also my bluetooth.
I rebooted multiple times.nothing.i even changed kernel version back to 68.0.57 (the only other option in grub)
Still nothing.
At this point i believe that it might as well be a hardware issue but i dont really understand why it all happened after installing wine 32.
Now to clear misconceptions: no my gpu has nothing to do with this.it works fine.no compat issues.
2:my computer works.i can see my screen i can open apps that dont require interner.including file manager.so tes there is no worry about data loss.
3:yes all the hardware including wifi adapter and bluetooth worked fine before wine 32.

The only problem is my wifi adapter not working,my bluetooth not working, even usb tethering not working,(i dont have access to ethernet so it can be tested)

This usually isnt a big problem but im confused as to why this happened right after wine 32 installation and why did the welcome / introduction pages pop up.
I also want to mention that never in my life have i seen the gnome welcome page.this was my first time.as it does not pop up after first installation boot i believe.

Also there is probably no problem changing hardware since they are both dongles (for internet and bluetooth).and are pretty cheap here.

I would really really apreciate yalls help any and all.really really deep thank you.

(Fun fact:wine 32 finished installing while i was looking at my zorin forum replies🗿.
)thank you once again

I also want to say that i dont mind installing zorin anew if thats what it takes.

I have mentioned all the details down to the annoying tiniest bit.
Thank you

Ignoring error messages is a sure way of messing your system.

Since you mention you're ok with re-installing Zorin OS, I'd suggest doing that and go a little slower this time.

You might want to consider installing Timeshift, as well, which will help immensely with this type of situation, avoiding you having to reinstall everything.

I'm no gamer and have never used wine so I can't help you directly.
Here are some links that could help you:

I usually recommend that users do not install wine32:i386 because more often than not, it modifies key system files like libc6 to restructure for 32bit architecture support... and because Wine32 is most often not actually needed.

I am guessing the games in question are not supported on Steam?
Because installing Steam, then applying Proton - you can direct to a game library, even if it is not listed for sale in Steam, as long as it is on your computer.

:sob::sob::sob:.sir zenzeeen.it was an error message stating that some components couldn't be installed due to unmet dependencies.so i thought it would be fine that some thing didnt install if most of the wine system worked.:sob:

Yes sir the games are not supported in steam (in a way) so i use heroic games launcher.ive had the most luck with it.

And about wine 32.i believe that it is necessary to install vcrun 2005-2020.

I mean the install crashes everytime and after i did. A bit of digging i found out that wine 32 is the reason.

If i can somehow safely download it,please guide me.

If not,i believe i will have to manually install vcrun after downloading it using winecfg.i know the bare minimum about this so i would apreciate if you could guid me on how to do :backhand_index_pointing_up:

I play a lot of games on Zorin. My recommendation: don't install WINE or Windows App Support. I never do.

Instead, install Steam and use the "Add non-Steam game" feature, or install Heroic if you use GOG or EGS a lot. For other things, I use Bottles. Each of these will ensure you have whatever WINE packages are needed, and you can use ProtonUp-Qt or ProtonPlus to get new versions of GE-Proton.

Windows App Support is nice for transparent, run from the desktop convenience, but I just don't find it as reliable.

Mr forpli im really glad you helped out even though you dont have much experience in this.

These links are on how to start playing games on linux.like the starter pack.im on kind of intermediate (i hope so).and the help i need in this is just a bit above intermediate.

But i really am appreciative of your suggestion.

This.

Mr locklear93.im truly grateful.you have just made me realise what was the problem.
As you might know, this was a new install.
Although i thought i was forgetting something i didnt care.

On my last stable install.i had bottles installed.THAT filled the dependencies.

This time i forgot to install bottles.thanks so much.

On my previous install i had no problem installing vcrun.

Thanks sooooo much.

Now im going to do a reinstall and install bottles first THEN try all my shii.

And from now on i would never install wine 32.

Thanks soooo much.
Yall this case has been solved by mr locklear93.
