Hello, I have tried the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra - it is recognised in Steam in the game (The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered), but does not work. With PS 4 controller - recognised in Steam in the game it is only displayed under Customise controls - no function. I use Zoron Os Pro - I somehow like it better than Mint. Does anyone have any ideas? How do I get a controller to work?
First things i need from you to do...
(1) Make sure Secure Boot & Fast boot, are turned off in the bios.
(2) If you are dual booting with Windows, make sure Fast Startup is turned off in Windows.
(3) Make sure when at login screen, that you are logging on within Zorin OS on X11/Xorg.
(4) On Steam, there is a section for controller settings, in settings. Make sure you have enabled Playstation controller compatibility.
Start with that, then will go from there.
1.secure boot is disabled
2.Fast Startup is disabled
3. Zorin OS on X11/Xorg ??? What is it and how do I log in?
4. i have enabled Playstation controller compatibility
Logout and at login click on your username, then a cog wheal appears at the bottom right. There select "Zorin Desktop on Xorg". Then login with your password.
You might want to try enabling Xbox Controller Compatibility Mode in Steam’s settings — a lot of users find that PS4 and some Turtle Beach controllers work much more reliably this way. It’s especially helpful if the game isn’t recognizing your controller or not showing its functions in the control menu.
If you install Steam as flatpak this may cause the issue. Instead install either .deb from Steam homepage or the .deb in the repo:
sudo apt install steam
If you want to use the Flatpak instead, make sure to set up Steam with Fleatseal (it's in the repo).
So I'm also having controller issues as well although mine are different steam recognizes my PS4 controller recognizes all the button inputs and stuff when testing and I even tried going into big picture mode and the controller works perfect there. I even launched Street fighter 6 from Big picture mode and nothing
I can use the trackpad as a sort of mouse to move the camera in Elden ring and to browse the menus in the street fighter
the option button also worked as it's what I pressed to get me past to start screen where it says "press any button to continue"
It's not just Elden ring. It's also Street fighter 6 and presumably all steam games
Also it's a wired connection not Bluetooth
