What does what mean? i.e. what do you not understand?
If ZorinOS 18.1 has been patched, then I would also expect Z17.3 to be patched as both versions are still supported.

I just figured out.
ya they tend to use alot of acronims example FBI,CIA and such z17 and so on as you read the posts in here you will slowly learn them...im 68 im gaining on them....lol

You can check that. Open the File Manager and in the Path Bar at the Top type in /etc/modprobe.d/ and press Enter to get in the Directory. Then look in the Files that You see one that is called disable-algif_aead.conf
When this File is there, it is fine.

I am 70 and whilst having experienced GNU/Linux since 2002 I am still learning. My biggest learning curve is trying to understand what clients need when migrating from Windows 10/11. They don't always want or need the menu they had on the Windows system. My most recent client did not want a tiled menu on their KDE Plasma Desktop Environment, just the simple Application Menu (think Windows 2000 and earlier).

Here is a potted history of my IT/Computer experience and employment.
First computing device was a Sinclair Spectrum 128 with heatsink. I borrowed a book from the local library to create a budgeting app for it. The code was only for 1000 entries. Changing it to 10,000 caused an error, so I sold it for more than I paid for it.
Second computer purchased was an Amiga 1500. I used it before I upgraded it to produce the local TU Branch's Health & Safety Bulletin using PageSetter 2. Having only 2 floppy drives and 1 Mb RAM it took 20 minutes to print out one page on a Canon BJ-200 (mono inkjet).
I worked in Social Services responsible for delivering frontline service. Then reorganisation happened and I lost all my admin support and had to do all the admin work. Then my desk was moved so I literally had to sit up against it. I went off sick for a long time and sold my childhood toys at Auction and raised enough to buy a P120 with Windows 95 and got hold of a copy of Office 95. While I was off ill I devised an Excel Spreadsheet that could cater for all my admin requirements at work but was denied as the IT Department had no plans for introducing IT into the service I was employed in.
Then came various placements before losing my job, the last one ironically in the IT Department, fielding calls for my supervisor relating to the Department's database. But my major task was to undertake an annual audit of all the hardware and software deployed across the City for Social Services, mainly running Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
The last major task was to implement the Council-wide agreed Y2K fix software to all Social Service kit requiring me to provide a detailed report of all hardware and software, separate to the Annual Audit.
This led to self-employment as an IT Contractor, first involved as an IT Auditor. Initially there were supposed to be 5 of us auditing the entire City but in actuality it was just me and a retired Housing IT person auditing the whole of the Council's Hardware and Software. After this work came to an end I started doing firdthline deployment of Hardware and teamed up with an employed IT Engineer to deploy kit ordered from ... Social Services, and then City-wide.
Then the build engineer went off long-term sick so I was taken off first-line deployments to the build area at base. This had 4 bays, the last bay holding a Norton Ghost server for building NT4 Workstations. Each of the firs 3 bays had KVM switches so I could build 2 machines in each bay, so six machines at a time. Then one day I had to build about 35-40 workstations and deploy them late in the evening as none of the full-time staff were not prepared to do short-notice overtime which meant I did not finish work until about 10 p.m.
During my time in the build area I decided to make it easier for the deployment engineers by installing all the peripheral device drivers for the scanners and printers, only to be told off because the scheduled 1 hour slot the company was charging was reduced to 20-30 minutes. To me, swift deployment is good practice.
Then I had to report an item to the Warehouse manager that a piece of kit had been removed one night by a couple of engineers who were employed by the company. I was not going to be their patsy as the only person working in the build area.
So I was hauled in to one of the manager's offices and told they were having to let me go as I was costing them too much. I spoke to another IT Contactor who disclosed (which they weren't supposed to) that the Agency they worked for charged 3 times what I was charging with the Agency worker receiving half of that.
So my last employment was for an Integrated Resource as a Technician, producing Braille and Modified Large Print documents for students with no or low-vision until I retired.
Then recently I relaunched my website, so far only had 2 customers since October, 2025.

Today i received the patches, so everything looks beeing solved - thx to zorin and the relevant people beeing involved. I am on Zorin 17.3pro. So now it looks like this
