Hello, I'm trying out Zorin 17 and really liking it. Thank you so much for a great OS!
I noticed that the updater wanted to run an update for the BIOS, which is great. So, I allowed it to do so. However, every time the computer boots, I get the following error:
Software update failed:
Detailed errors from the package manager follow:
failed to build result for a45df35ac0e948ee180fe216a5f703f32dda163f
I have no idea what that means. I'm assuming that means it wasn't able to install the update. There's no way for me to cancel the update. I just see that message every time I boot up my machine.

HI, Dell usually provides .zip files of BIOS which have to be installed via Windows usually. To circumven this, if you have access to another machine, download Hiren's Boot CD which uses a Win PE version of Windows 10, burn to USB, and at boot time, boot into BIOS and choose USB with EFI or Hiren's Boot CD won't run. Download the BIOS package from Dell, extract and follow the instructions on how to install.
Thank you to both of you for your suggestions. After reading through both suggestions, I found an easier way to flash the BIOS. The instructions are provided by Dell (How to update the Dell BIOS in a Linux environment):
In summary:
Open Disks, format the USB, partition FAT32, download the bios update from the Dell website (exe file), put it on the drive, reboot, press F12, and choose the thumb drive.
Super easy. I'm a dummy for not first checking if Dell already had an article on this since they sell computers with Linux.
