Desktop icons problem

Hello! I have a problem! When I restart the system the desktop icons are not aligned as I put them (they change order)! How can I stop them? How to solve? Thanks!

Hi and Welcome! As you have the Pro version you are entitled to support from Team Zorin directly via this contact form:

I assume you have Z17.2 Pro (gnome desktop).

Right click on the desktop and see if there is a menu that includes "Keep Aligned" or similar.

This was true for Z16, but I don't know if it is changed in Z17. You may need to add a gnome desktop extension to do it.

I think the issue is that OP is trying to place icons in any place arbitrarily but they keep moving constantly, similar to this thread below:

There's still not a (definitely) known cause to this, and no solution as it appears, but disabling and re-enabling the desktop icons extension should do the trick; you can see how I did it using the command line in this link but you can also use the Extension Manager (you might need to install it from the Software store):
