Drilling down into file structure searching for Thunderbird local folder

Brand new to Linux...installed Zorin OS yesterday.

I am working with the terminal and trying to get to the following as noted in the settings section related to the local folders email box in Thunderbird:
/home/XXXXX/.thunderbird/XXXXX.default-esr/Mail/Local Folders

I need to move the local files from my windows machine to the local files on my Zorin machine so that my Zorin machine can be my personal daily driver.

In the terminal when I run "ls -la," there is is no ".thunderbird." There is a ".mozilla," but it contains only 4 files: ., .., extensions, Fire Fox. I have spent hours searching for anything, but I have made no progress.

Any ideas to get me to the ".thunderbird" or all the way to the "Local Folders"?

Hi, welcome to the Zorin OS community!

You probably installed the Flatpak version of Thunderbird. Check for that with: flatpak list and see if Thunderbird appears in that list. If yes, you'll find the relevant files inside a .var directory.

You are correct on both accounts. Thank you for the help. There is a lot to learn here.

Yes, there's quite a few things to learn, but it's quite the journey  Don't hesitate to ask!
