FL Studio 24 with Wine/Bottles

Hi,

Has anyone managed to use FL Studio 24 without major freezes or crashs?
I made somes research and I didn't found any working tutorial.

I tried with Wine and Bottle and still have crashes and freezes.

Now what I'm trying is to create a Windows 10 VM with Virtual box, and I'll test it.

Any idea is welcome.

You could try switching to Xorg, perhaps this helps. At login click on your username, then a cog on the screen appears. There you set Zorin on XOrg.

You could take a look at this thread:

It could be worth a try to install also flatseal to grant permissions to all users files (if they are installed as flatpaks as e.g. bottles).

Did You take a Look at the Developers Website if there is maybe a Linux Version offered?

I checked the developers website, there is not a natif Linux version.

I tried to setup a virtual machine but I didn't succeded.

Wine or Bottle was not a solution at all since it kept crashing.

I tried with a Windows-To-Go drive it was working well, but the installation, config and updates and usability are really slow plus the drive was getting really hot.

I went back to a dual-boot Windows 11/ZorinOS and for me it's the best solution, because I can use the trackpad gesture in the software. That wasn't the case in Wine/Bottles.

Windows won't be connected online since I just use it for the softwares.

Plus I also needed Affinity Designer that can't be emulated with Wine/Bottles.

TL;DR: So for me FL Studio cannot be used on Linux with Wine/Bottles right now and went back to dual-boot: Windows 11/ZorinOS.

i still use FLSTUDIO on Zorin and it work really well;crashes would be because of insufficent ram and that was solved with zram

I installed ASIO4ALL driver and it's working well indeed.

Make sure to change the the audio driver in the settings.

The only issue that is not really an issue is the trackpad usage, using a mouse is better.

I used Wine, not Bottles.
