Glitch on the screen

Hello, I'm having this little problem on the desktop, I wanted to take a screenshot but when I tried it disappeared, I do not know if you get to appreciate very well because I had to take a picture with my cell phone. It only appears when I pass the mouse over that area. If someone can give me a solution I would appreciate it very much c:

Hi, and welcome to the forums!

Screen artifacts like those are usually related to graphic drivers. There has been a recent update that has caused quite a bit of trouble all around that front.

Please take a look at this thread, you might find the instruction there helpful:

Welcome to the Forum!

If You are using the 6.8 Kernel and Nvidia Graphics You should definetely take a Look at @zenzen's Comment.

Alternatively to that: Do you have Fractional Scaling active? And how is Your Refresh Rate set up? Are You running in wayland or Xorg?

I don't have nvidia graphics, I have amd graphics, are nvidia drivers installed by default? I am a beginner in Linux, I am still not very familiar with it.

Which AMD graphics do you have?

AMD graphics are usually supported by the linux kernel, but if your AMD graphics is very new, you may need to install a more recent kernel than 6.8 that now comes with Zorin. Conversely, if your AMD graphics is very old, you may need an older kernel.

Can you please open a terminal (Menu | Utilities | Terminal) and enter:

sudo lshw -C video

and post back the results please.

I have a Ryzen 3 5300u whit Radeon Graphics, RX Vega 6

Having researched Ryzen 3 5300u is one only released this year. Are you on the current kernel of 6.8 or earlier?

I put the command uname -a in the terminal and it tells me that I have version 6.8.0-40-generic

Please go to the GRUB Screen and choose there ''Advanced Options'' and there choose the 6.5 Kernel to start and then test if the Problem still is there.

Having looked at the AMD Website they have a driver for the Ryzen 3 5300u which is for Ubuntu 22.04.4. I am not sure what version of 22.04 Zorin is currently using.

I installed the drivers but the glitch is still there, I will continue testing and investigating to see how to solve it. Anyway thank you very much, if I solve it I will post it

I still don't know how to enter the grub screen, but I'll look for it tomorrow and I'll tell you how I did, thank you very much.
