Has anyone tried Microsoft 365 + Onedrive Zorin 18?

I just updated from 18 beta to the latest full 18 (good job Zorin) and am trying to use the Online Accounts setting to access Microsoft365 + Onedrive. Entered by login details but now it just says "loading" but that's it. On the URL bar I can see my login and client id, so I know I have got that through. Any ideas?

Now getting the following error message:

Microsoft accountAccount

We're unable to complete your request

unauthorized_client: The client does not exist or is not enabled for consumers. If you are the application developer, configure a new application through the App Registrations in the Azure Portal at Microsoft Azure.

You're trying to login to these products through a webapp you've created, am I understanding that correct? It could be that the URL that was used to originally create may have changed (Microsoft tends to change URLs a LOT, so I wouldn't be surprised even if you made the app very recently).

If you go to this location that you're trying to through your browser, does the same error come up?

I'm trying to go in though the "Online Accounts" in Settings and following the links that come up for Microsoft 365 + Onedrive. I haven't created anything. wouldn't know where to start. Theoretically this new link should bring up the apps, unless I've misunderstood what the project was for.

Ah ok, you're just trying to do the online accounts thing. Sorry, when you said web based app I presumed wrongly that you had made a web app for something microsoft based. I haven't been able to test Zorin 18 since it came out fully, but I'm hoping to either tonight or tomorrow, so I could test then. Hopefully in the mean time someone who has been using it could get you some information on if it's working for them or not as well.

Thanks applecheeks37, hope your test goes well.

IT WORKS. Click sign in it went to my default browser asked for my login which is my email, got authentication message and the zorin menu showed files, closed it refreshed files in side stood my email address clicked had to folders one for one drive and other for share access one drive no problem. Was able to copy files from one drive by dragging into my desktop folder and vice N versus.

Thanks Dugcla.
Just so I understand; are you referring to using Onedrive to move files? Did you use any of the Microsoft 365 apps?

On researching the error I am receiving, this is what Microsoft say:

Microsoft account error: unauthorized_client

The unauthorized_client error typically occurs when the application developer fails to configure their application correctly in the Azure Portal. This error indicates that the client does not exist or is not enabled for consumers. To resolve this issue, developers should:

For further assistance, developers can refer to the Azure documentation or seek support from Microsoft's support channels.

Can this be passed on to the developer for comment? I do have a valid Microsoft Account which I login to several times a day.

Did not use any of the app just one drive to move files around.

Thanks Dugcla.

Do you happen to know how big the download was?

I'm having the same issue. Getting the unauthorized_client error. I don't see any other info about it online. I'm not sure if it plays into it or not but after I type in my email address it asks me if I have a work or school account or a personal account. I click the personal account button and then the error comes up. I'm really looking forward to this working.

I was able to get it to work. On the initial scree where it was asking for a user ID and tenant ID I was entering my microsoft account email address. I tried leaving both fields blank and then it went to the next screen in the web browser and it logged me in without the error. My guess is that when I put the email address in the settings box it was trying to goto the "work or school" area instead of the personal accounts one. My account is kind of messed up because my email address is linked to a work account with Microsoft that I no longer have access to so I can't delete it. I hope this helps someone.

To set up Online Accounts for Microsoft 365 and OneDrive, you'll need the Tenant ID from your Microsoft 365 organization.

Note:This setup only works with work or school accounts, it is not compatible with personal (home) Microsoft accounts.

You can find your Tenant ID in either the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or the Azure Portal.

Once you've added the Tenant ID, you can enter your email and password to sign in.

What i saw:
Only OneDrive integrates through this setup. It will appear as a tab in File Explorer, but it does not sync your Desktop, Documents, or Pictures folders automatically. I did not saw any integration with user account, like Entra ID or be able to reset account password.

Hopefully in the future you can add user account and be able to use azure and intune to manage user account and workstation.

Thanks techguy22. Very helpful.

I had gone down the route of leaving Client ID and Tenant ID blank, and then signed into my account. The download then started an I was hopeful, however despite System Monitor showing activity I decided that after 22 hours something was wrong and aborted!

Ever since I'm back to the original error.

Thanks Puyunet.

As I am only a Personal (home) user I do not have access to a Tenant ID, though I have just tried and got rejected as my userid was not recognised.

Sounds like there is more work to be done is this Online Account is to work.

12gig and it took just over +-4min I dont have a fast line, 500Mbs

It works when you open it up then click sign in and click again it opens in web browser and then put your personal email address in and the authentication comes up all well you in.

I'm having the erro bellow:

AADSTS700016: Application with identifier 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' was not found in the directory 'XXXXXXXXXX'. This can happen if the application has not been installed by the administrator of the tenant or consented to by any user in the tenant. You may have sent your authentication request to the wrong tenant

Has anyone know how to fix it ?

Thanks for the info Dugcla. 12gig sounds about right, sadly my speed is only 15Mbs

I will test out your method later on today.
