I have downloaded "teamviewer" app for screenshare on zorin. However, when I try to use it, I don't get a password to apply. Is it possible I am not downloading the right version of teamviewer? I tried the "ubuntu" one. But there was no version that specified 'zorin'.
This should be the package, here:
https://download.teamviewer.com/download/linux/teamviewer_amd64.deb
You can install it with
cd ~/Downloads
sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_15.28.6_amd64.deb
If you prfer GUI application to install with, I recommend Gdebi:
sudo apt install gdebi
It gives more information and performs better than the Software Store will.
I'm new to linux, so I've never used the terminal before. I have downloaded the file, but when I bring up the application to use it, only the username shows, which is not sufficient without a password to use it as well. I have the option to 'remove' it, but I don't know if that will help, because I'm not sure that the final "install" is available.
The password is you login Zorin password just type it after password ....
Do you not have a user password? You should have created one when you installed Zorin.
TeamViewer is pricey. Zorin already comes with Remmina. Also see here:
