I have been a windows user for many years and have tried Linux at various times but being a gamer never found a good solution for running my games, that is until now, I saw Zorin being recommended on Youtube and decided to give it a try. I decided to try Zorin without installing and every thing went well was able to configure my emails without problem and also run my browser based games. So I decided to go for the full install had one small problem with NVidia drivers not loading that was down to my system secure booting, rectified that and after that went for the final trial would it run Starfield on Steam, success no configuration needed it just ran straight away with equal performance. I am now a Zorin convert.
Welcome to the Linux community. Yeah gaming gets alot easier these days. I played Crysis Remastered trilogy, Mass Effect Legendary Edition and many other AA games without a problem. Today i fired up Tempest Rising demo and even this game runs without any problem.
Congratulations and "welcome to the club," as they say. Don't forget; GOG.com does have some decent options for Linux gaming, and itch.io has a plethora of Linux-native games (free and paid). Have fun with Zorin, and be sure to support the developers by either buying "Pro" or just donating online via the website.
@Oldun. Congratulations on your win, and welcome to the forum! Good to know that you are having a good experience, even though you've had to sort out a few issues.
Welcome! Gaming was the last thing that was holding me back too, but it turns out it is pretty much a solved problem. I'm currently re-playing Cyberpunk 2077, which is admittedly an older game, but before that I played Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Black Myth Wukong. Both ran flawlessly.
Hi Oldun. Welcome to the club.
ZorinOS really does make it easy for you.
Congratulations on taking the leap, I'm sure that you wont regret it.
When I have a bit of time I dabble in:
Cyberpunk 2077, Wasteland 3 and Age of Empires 2
