I realize that adding artificial intelligence will negatively impact the system’s performance, security, and stability, but most AI devices run on Linux. And there’s no problem with that (except for me).
The current flow of financing in A.I. as a whole is... strange.
This raises hard questions about the ramifications of A.I. on Privacy and Data.
In addition to this, widespread A.I. use increases energy demands and costs intensely.
A.I. speaks confidently, while printing mistakes or even hallucinations (Suggesting packages or terminal commands that do not exist).
For these reasons, it is highly unlikely that the ZorinGroup will consider adding A.I. to Zorin OS. The privacy Concerns take top tier.
Oh please god no! Isn't Real Intelligence the reason that we switched to Linux?
Computer says no! ![]()
This feels like ragebait. The fact that you didn't add a period or go deeper into why you believe this to be true makes it appear more so.
A sign of human intelligence is the members here not taking the bait.
(Hint hint)
...Hmm
I hope not. In this Case, I would have to use a different OS. But if You look for something like that there would be Deepin. They have a AI Intergration to a certain Level. I find it a bit confusing because there are different Types but maybe it suits You.
P.S.: I changed the Thread Category to Chat about Zorin because this isn't a Help Request.
If talking Avatars and Google-centric OS's are what you desire then pay for Lindoz. My computer still says no!
It has left me a message.
I reading the AI searching problems what are old and closed and not support on linux distributions.
Wow, someone who's actually requesting an AI invasion into their system. And for what purpose is this AI be used for, that you request it so? For myself, I can't think of a single purpose I'd need or want, to have AI in my operating system.
I personally feel that, a healthy barrier between AI, and a home PC, is a good thing. With AI being used in every major online search site, I don't understand what AI could possibly accomplish, being inside an operating system, other then being used, as a data scraper.
Negative. The reason people switch to Linux, is for data privacy, and to be allowed to make our own choices with our computer's, as opposed to corporate overlords, who like to make the choices for you.
You are the first person I've ever seen, who's made a choice to switch to Linux, dreaming of using it, in hopes of AI. This is a new one on me.
I don't think I lack intelligence, but I have to confess when I saw the missing period I felt the gorge rise in my throat.
P.S. I saw what you did with that quote...
...bbbbut it wasn't David!
No, no, no. If I wanted AI spyware on my PC, I might as well use Windows. I want a secure, stable system that respects my freedom of choice. Zorin does that very well at the moment. If Zorin drops X11 or adds AI bloat at the system level like Windows does with Copilot, I will immediately distro-hop. Users should have the choice whether they want to use X11 or Wayland, and whether they want AI or not.
For those not familiar with UK tv show "Little Britain", I assume this sketch is what Swarf is referring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0YGZPycMEU#
I remember a search engine would come vack with a still image of David Walliams dressed as a woman from Little Britain with the caption "Computer says no" following a failed url.
XLibre is the way forward friend.
