Kernel 6.17 freeze on login after installing Nvidia 5060 laptop GPU. PLEASE šŸ„ŗ HELP!

I have the same problem... 1. You're using the wrong version for the Nvidia 610... But my computer keeps freezingā€”at some point, somehow; I never know when or why... sometimes it runs fine for an hour or the whole day, other times it crashes after just 5 minutes... I'm going to try installing kernel 7.0.

The upside of having the latest drivers is having the latest updates or support for newer hardware. With an Nvidia 5060, that matters.

The downside is, the latest bugs. Maturity in software is time to gather and address bug reports. Which the latest lacks.

I see you are using X11, Nvidia 5060 and the latest Mesa, along with the 610 driver (That is New. I am guessing you installed via the .run from the Nvidia Website?)
But what stands out is the hybrid AMD and Nvidia.

And in your case, that may count toward your experience as opposed to the O.P.

This sounds like a perfect time to maybe try the Liquorix kernel it will install the 7 kernel its the most upto date kernel for newer hardware i do run it
