Take a look at this thread
Everywhere I search tells me to open the program (e.g. Libre Writer) and go to Options->Libre Office->View and change the icon size, including where all the search engines and websites tell me to go). Has anyone done this sucessfully? Note I'm evaluating Zorin vs. Mint, and while I find Zorin SLIGHTLY easier to use, I find mint FAR more customizable (including Libre Office toolbar icon size).
Any Help would be appreciated.

That is the file (usually you don’t have a second .desktop file for Libre Writer at ~/.local/share/applications when you don’t have edited the desktop file before with main menu):
First, elevate the file manager to Root and launch:
nautilus //:admin
Navigate to /usr/share/applications
So in the file manager, you will see usr, double click it. Then share and last, a folder named applications.
In that folder, right click on the .desktop file for libreoffice-writer.desktop
On the exec line, change it to
Exec=env SAL_FORCEDPI=150 libreoffice --writer %U
Save the file.
Test launching writer and make sure Icons are good - if so, you can close the file and the eleva…
But easier it is just to switch to Xorg if the icon size changes don't work in Wayland.
