Minor bug: software update loop

Minor bug mentioned in another post: when updating with Software app, it often loops into telling me that there's still something to install, but when I click the update/install button, nothing happens. Issue is usually fixed with apt update && apt upgrade , but is annoying and would greatly confuse an inexperienced user.

yeah the software app loop is a known gnome-software quirk on zorin for me too. the badge stays even when apt is clean, and the install button no-ops.

what usually clears the stuck badge for me:

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
sudo killall gnome-software
rm -rf ~/.cache/gnome-software

then reopen software. if it still loops, sudo apt install --reinstall gnome-software once. the apt path is the reliable one until the software app catches up.

Microsoft's billions bugs confuse many user experienced or not,

Microsoft doesn't host a supposedly friendly forum for support, so no-one even gets the impression that they want to hear users' feedback.

This forum is not the full support of your paid version, it's managed by users, smart enough to fix many problems but they not decide what Zorin will be.
I hope Zorin Devs will read your post, but sometimes I doubt

My personal experience with Microslop back in the 2000's, is they want to charge hundreds of dollars for support, like their stupid call center service. I hate Microslop like they are the plague, they have done me wrong in so many ways, charging 200 for support, bricking an Xbox 360, and a legal case I can't go into.
