Need help with a few things

Hi all,

Normally i don't have issues during boot but it happend twice today that my machine did not get to the gdm screen, first i thought it would be a gdm issue but i don't think this is the case. Can someone help me out and try to find the issue ?

What happens: My system boots and suddenly i see alot of text on screen, after that i see a blinking cursor and nothing happens. When i press alt f2 and login in tty i press reboot (or ctrl alt delete). I did updates on my machine after that, rebooted again and it happend again. Now i don't know where to look because i did not receive updates for a few days, i only did some gaming and internet so nothing got changed on the machine.

From the auth.log i get this

In respect of the wifi:

My ISP does not recognise IPv6 only IPv4 so I disable this setting for any networks.

Slightly different issue (black screen) but may be related?:

Same issue, two different problems and resolutions:

I have read elsewhere that these ACPI bugs if does not stop the system from booting to ignore - down to poor implementation by M$ of what they supply to manufacturers on ACPI code in the BIOS - there is no default standard programming of ACPI.
