New Mouse Cursor Choice Option in Zorin Appearance

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!

In the Past I made here a Suggestion to integrate in Zorin Appearance the Option to choose a Mous Cursor Theme:

So, today I got an Zorin Appearance Update and when I opened it, I saw an interesting new Option:

The red marked Option is the Possibility to choose a Mouse Cursor Theme!

I wasn't on Zorin when you made this request, but thank you! Cursors always bother me because they point the wrong way. I'm not real big into customizing visuals but I do like a left handed cursor set. I had decided against making a set though as preliminary research suggested I would need to install a tweak tool to choose the cursor set I created. I dislike installing a bunch of extraneous things on my system. I gave up my idea.

Last week I noticed your topic and checked Zorin Appearance. I was excited to see we can now change cursors without installing a tool. I had some free time coming up this week so decided to greenlight my little cursor project. Today I whipped up small test set of cursors and am happy to report my cursor theme shows up in Zorin Appearance. I don't think I ever would have noticed this change had it not been for your post! Thank you for your suggestion and follow up post!

Huh. I'm up to date and still don't have this option.

If you look at the original screenshot, just out of view is other. Click on other tab!
(Won't affect me as I only use Plasma and Enlightenment. I have ditched Gnome completely in respect of the DE.)

Man, I don't know what it is about the tabs in this that cause me to miss them, but I always do. I have the same problem when I want to change the dock settings to only show mounted drives. (Interface, Dash settings button, scroll up because the tabs are always scrolled off the top when accessing this page, launchers, only if mounted. Real pain to find the first time!) Thanks.

Man, the minute Plasma 6 can be installed without adding another distro's repos and praying... I've never liked GNOME. >_<

I did the same thing when I first went looking for it. I even ran the updater to make sure I was all updated because I could not find it anywhere.

I think5.27 is good enough for me (and apparently kubuntu 24.04 which I learned from browsing an LXF mag in a supermarket. That said I do have KDE neon on a spare drive but it has been some time since I used it.

Sorry, for the unclear Picture in my Post. I have replaced it. I hope it is clearer now.

I'd be happier with 5.27 than with GNOME, but a specific goal of mine is HDR, and as far as I know, that needs Plasma 6. I dislike GNOME, but there are enough other things in Zorin that I'm "settling for" already that unless I can deal with a LOT of those issues, it's probably not worth it.

I should be clear when I say that that I don't necessarily think Zorin's doing anything wrong. Its goals and mine just aren't aligned. I belong on Nobara or Bazzite, but the former is very unstable on my hardware and the latter is immutable which I'm not convinced I want. (And which makes getting my VPN to work a hassle.) Zorin I'd toss on my Surface Book to de-Microsoft it, where I don't need/want gaming performance and do need/want lower pressure on the hardware.

Nothing to be sorry for; your image was to point out the new feature, not tutorial. Thanks though, for taking the time to make it clearer
