No startup sound -Output device is correct and working

Is there an enable / disable switch for the startup sound?
New 18.1 pro install and I now get no startup sound.
The output device is correct and working.
Sounds at /usr/share/sounds/zorin/stereo play fine if I open each one from FILES.

Hi, have you looked in 'Startup Applications'? This is where the login sound resides. Works in live (Try Zorin) mode but gets disabled post install.
