Well we finally got drivers installed, turns out we didn't have the - in the first driver name. Once we found that we started with the 470 driver since you stated it was the most stable for our card, boy was that a mistake. Everything was taking twice as long to happen if not more so we went to the 550 driver. That got things working normally again but it still froze hours later just sitting there. I don't think we tried the 565 and I saw you said we can try a 570 driver so we plan to test those tonight or this weekend.
We really appreciate all the help and sticking with us!
All, we have success! The docking station is connected to a Roku TV for the monitor, we don't have a lot of room for a TV and a monitor. The Roku TV has the option to leave the TV on but turn off the picture and doing this appears to have told the laptop the display is there so it never freezes anymore.
We again want to thank all the help from this forum, you really have made switching to Zorin much easier than figuring everything out ourselves!
