bwrap: Can't bind mount /oldroot/run/user/1000/app/com.discordapp.Discord on /newroot/run/user/flatpak/app/com.discordapp.Discord: Unable to mount source on destination: No such file or directory
Similar issues with my internet browsers, Firefox, Chrome and Vivaldi, none open. spinning wheel... flatpak version of vivaldi not working... installed the snap store one, and that one works.
Wow, this is extremely bad. I am having a strange conversation with Gemini about it as I am bored stiff trying to fix this. Gemini gave me scores of suggestions and the only one that has worked so far is for Thunderbird. It claimed to have spotted something about a corrupt printer. I don't have a printer! But I put in the suggestion in the terminal and suddenly Thunderbird is working again. Still stuck with the music player but not giving up yet...
This has really knocked my confidence in Zorin. I didn't think it would be possible for some updates to completely nuke a major program so that I can't even read my damn emails...
First would be the Question what Update it was to see if there really is a Relation to this Behavior.
When Thunderbird now works again, You could post here what helps with it.
Because of the Music Player: Did You tried a different one to check if it behaves the same? You could try Amberol for Example. And then install VLC as .deb Package to see if that works. Maybe it is related to the Flatpak Format.
Indeed, unfortunately I have got accustomed to just letting software updater do its thing and not pay attention to what it is downloading. I don't have sufficient information about what was installed yesterday and today, but whatever it was it has killed Tauon and Thunderbird on two of my Zorin installs, and judging by the post above it's affecting others too.
As it stands now, I have somehow got Thunderbird working again (there were so many conversations with the AI I don't have the code line that worked for me but it was related to printers) and I have abandoned Tauon for Gnome music. AI seemed to think Tauon was calling something from Discord as part of its feature set, so I thought installing Discord and just leaving it sitting there would fix that, but it didn't...
