Recognize USB thumb drive

I can't get Zorin to recognize usb drive (thumb). Can anyone tell m how see when one is connected?

Test it on another computer ? if it does not work there the flash might be corrupted OR the usb drive is death ?

If you want to look at the usb drive within zorin, open files -> other devices -> there it should be listed.

  • Is the USB Stick pluged in directly or connected over a HUB or something like that?
  • Did You see in Nautilus (File Manager) at the left Side Your Drive?
  • Is it only one USB Stick that not works or all that You have?
  • Did You tried several UBS Plugs on Your Machine?

Click on the Zorin Z.

Here, you will see any viable disk, even if it doesn't show up without doing this step. I had the same the other day, I couldn't fix it in Zorin but using Rufus in Windows 10 repaired the drive and now it is working normally.

I'm sure someone can give you instructions how to fix it in Zorin, using Gparted, or another app. Good luck!
