I'm trying to setup remote desktop access to my Zorin OS17.2 install.
I can get it to work with the settings below, however the password does not save between reboots.
I do have this machine setup to autologin if that makes a difference.
Does anyone know how I can get the machine to remember the password between reboots?

Do you have autologon enabled?
If so, it seems the keyring is the “issue”. I remember, if you disable keyring, the password is unencrypted but you should be able to save.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes - I do have autolgon enabled.

Just FYI if anyone was following this thread, I have not been able to resolve this.
I have another machine with autologon enabled and the remote desktop password does save between reboots.
So I don't think it is a keyring issue.
There are things here referencing the same issue:
While it may not be a keyring issue, and you have another working fine, it still could be. It might be worth just going through that and making sure that it's absolutely not.
If you switch to having to not having auto login by default, does the same thing occur?
