You could also try the last option 34 kernel with recovery mode.
Sorry sir, I did not able to understand that.
You got my gender wrong
Select this in grub menu and see what will happen.
Oh I am very very sorry man
Okay mam I am trying
Please wait
Can you enable Network?
Yes mam
Mam, I have enabled network
Filesystem mounted as Read Only.
Yes sir.
Sir what should I do now ?
I believe @FrenchPress wanted to ensure you Enable Networking. If you have done so, please back out to the Recovery menu and then arrow key down to the Root Prompt and enter that.
Hit the enter key.
Then type in (Please ensure no typos)
mount -o rw,remount /
Let's see if that resolves the filesystem being in read Only, first.
In that case, arrow key down to dpkg
and repair any broken packages.
Okay sir
I had to leave for a while and came back to fifty new replies.
Great to see an active community helping each other out.
I was hoping the older kernel would fix his issue...tried my best. Didnt know the filesystem could change to read only. Learned something today
I was thinking the same since this happened after an update. I am still unsure of the cause or what is going on... DKMS driver on the wifi, maybe? Unless the OP can get logged into a terminal... It will be hard to find out...
