Where's the any key????
Maybe not all of it but it is my test conky. I'm trying to learn at least the basics, seeing what I can and can't do and how to do it. As far as full screen windows why even bother with wallpaper?
M$ charges extra for that.
Crucial additional hardware, which is most times forgotten during purchase.
It is time do add it to each computer as default:
The key that every computer user actually needs, but is missing on every keyboard: The Any Key. Finally, you can properly respond to the prompt "Press any key to continue"!
This looks nice
Just been thinking about this (being Mr. Pedantic), proper English would state:
"Press the any key to continue". ![]()
Hmm ... I think this Puppet looks a bit creepy, hahaha!
Even worse, hahaha!
I am not an Apollo fan. Was as a youngster before I became aware of "Operation Paperclip". The creator of Appollo Saturn V was the same Nazi Scientist who designed the "Doodle Bug", the V2, fired against London in the Second World War, no thanks to Herr von Braun.
Honestly yeah lol, pink with a mix of other colours often looks cool, whether it be on Zorin OS or Windows 11 ![]()
Very minimistic.
Actually, I didn't post this because of the Apollo program. I use EndeavourOS, and while I was browsing the wallpapers in their GitHub repository, I came across this image and liked it, so I decided to use it.
This is Q4OS 6.4 R.1. running Plasma 6.3.6, Kernel 6.12.57
I am becoming continually frustrated with Pling as a Theme I have running on Q4OS 5.8, Ayopalli is working fine (apart from a faulty html clock on the top panel). On the plus side, Q4OS comes with a raft of different themes already and adds the appropriate menus (such as the Win10 theme includes the tiled menu that normally gets installed via widgets), but unlike 5.8 adding the default applications to the menu does not work, nor the titles (Productivity, Explore) and moving tiles around the tiled area of the menu needs the use of x/y coordinates, in Q4OS 5.8 you can just drag the group titles and application tiles freely as you would do in Windows 10. Aaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhh.
@Storm I know you are a keen user of Plasma on Solus. Do you have any issues with installling Global Themes? This is my take on it:
I just feel like KDE is losing its grip and at this rate everyone will be leaving for Cinnamon!
Some. But usual I don't have any trouble with Global Themes. As I understands it the ball is at Pling not KDE.
Hi @Storm , much appreciate your response. I am glad to get a confirmed second opinion of my thoughts. Do you know of any creators who have moved elsewhere?
I have noticed a big shift from earlier versions of theming in KDE/Plasma. In the old days, you could install from a local file - this no longer exists. I have seen some entries in 'Get New' that stipulate manual installation via ~.local etc.
