I wasn't aware of these issues, but I've verified them with Gemini, and it confirmed that what you said is accurate. I'm going to stop using Thorium and switch to Brave.
Brave is an issue for me too. I never liked its crypto stuff. I am currently using a fork of Firefox, zen browser. Looking forward to ladybird browser.
To be honest, I just want to keep it simple and fast. Zen Browser is cool, but it’s still as sluggish as Firefox for me. I’ve decided to go with Google Chrome to save myself the headache—it's the fastest and everything just works perfectly.
I'm trying to reduce my dependence on Google altogether following reports of an Al Jazeera reporter having all his evidence of human rights abuse and videos terminated by Google with no explanation. All his Google docs that were not backed up have been wiped.
I'm pretty boring in that regard and use almost the standard Zorin OS desktop :saint:.
I change the desktop background every now and then, and I've added a clock to the desktop using the Extension Manager.
In addition, I've used GNOME optimization to set the taskbar to dark, while the rest of the desktop remains in a light design.
On the subject of browsers, I used Edge and Chrome a lot on Windows. After switching to Zorin 17, I exclusively used Firefox, and since version 18, I've actually only used Brave.
Now I've gotten so used to Brave that I don't want to go back to Firefox or Chrome. I've disabled everything related to crypto and have been very happy ever since.
Hi folks, hope alls well

Nice desktop, hate the OS - I told Endeavour OS to overwrite a specific HDD and it wiped my PCLOS Debian install - it installed to the wrong drive, even after I had identified where it should have installed to! My fault for not doing my usual failsafe of disconnecting the other drive. Still bad form on Endeavour's part. When it comes to an Arch-centric distro there can only be one for me ... Artix.
Maybe this was an old issue that has since been fixed, because I’ve never faced any problems during installation. The only distro I’ve tried to install four times and failed is CachyOS—it only worked for me once.
@Storm Looks like Findus has somehow managed to get into your LCD Panel. And they say cats aren't intelligent? How dare they! (@AliReda hope you don't mind me and @Storm 's interaction despite it being your wall.)
Conky really needs more attention from the Linux community.
