I appreciate the tip! I'm definitely aware of that setting, but even when I switch it to 1080p HD, the video still looks blurry for some reason.

Thanks! About SDDM, I don't get the on-screen keyboard on my end. It's likely related to the theme you have installed.

Do You have Chromium installed as Flatpak or .deb Package?

Actually, I use Thorium (.deb). It's a compiler-optimized fork of Chromium designed for maximum performance—it's widely known as the fastest browser available.

Ah, okay. The Icon looks very similar. so, I didn't detected it right.

I avoid that like the plague - Google is deeply embedded in it and you can't get rid of the hooks. It is also a pain to uninstall the browser. Personally I would stay clear of it.

I understand your concern about Google's footprint, but saying it’s a 'pain to uninstall' isn’t really accurate on Linux. Since I’m using the .deb package from the official GitHub releases, I can completely remove it with a single command: sudo apt purge thorium-browser. It doesn't leave 'hooks' behind like some Windows software might.

Regarding the Google 'hooks,' Thorium is open-source and specifically patched to remove many of the telemetry features found in standard Chrome. At the end of the day, it’s about the performance trade-off, and for my use case, the optimization is worth it.

"Thorium on Linux is considered a security risk by multiple sources due to its outdated release cycle and unpatched vulnerabilities. The browser is maintained by a single developer and has a slow release schedule, leaving users exposed to known security issues for extended periods.
For example, as of August 2023, Thorium was still on version 117.0.5938.157, which exposed users to 69 known security issues, including one zero-day vulnerability.
Even in 2025, it was reported that Thorium had around 60 unpatched known vulnerabilities and was significantly behind in updates, making it unsafe for regular use.

Although Thorium implements a sandboxing system designed to isolate web processes and limit potential damage from malicious code
, this does not compensate for the risks posed by outdated code and delayed security patches. The browser still includes core Google components and does not offer significant privacy protections beyond basic tracker blocking.
Additionally, it lacks the comprehensive security features found in more actively maintained browsers like Brave or Librewolf.

In summary, while Thorium may offer performance benefits through compiler optimizations
, its security posture is weak due to infrequent updates and a lack of robust security maintenance, making it a notable security risk on Linux."

I wasn't aware of these issues, but I've verified them with Gemini, and it confirmed that what you said is accurate. I'm going to stop using Thorium and switch to Brave.

Brave is an issue for me too. I never liked its crypto stuff. I am currently using a fork of Firefox, zen browser. Looking forward to ladybird browser.
