I have zorin os 17.3 pro that I bought.
Suddenly, within the last few days, my printer won't print.
Don't know if this is an update issue or what.
Printer is an Epson WF pro 4820.
I have removed it and then added it back in and it comes up with two different names; Epson WF 4820 series and WF 4820. They both say Ready. The one that says just WF 4820 says it's driverless and the other one doesn't.
I've restarted the router, modem, laptop and printer more than once.
I have an Asus Vivobook S533ea laptop.
I don't mean to scare you but there was a security vulnerability within the printing service in Linux a while back. The vulnerability was patched, but just in case I would enable the firewall to be extra sure nothing weird is going on. You can find instructions in my post over there in that thread.
Back to the issue at hand, it's possible that a recent update has messed with your configuration somehow. You may try to rollback the kernel version to a previous one, and see if that helps. Checkout this guide on how to enable kernel selection at boot:
Well I have no idea why, where, or what for, but I just tried printing something and it printed.
Thanks for replying!
