Hello, first of all I want to thank you for the magnificent work done on ZorinOS.
I've been a Linux user for over 15 years, but I've actually been using it full-time for 10 years on all my computers at home. I've been a Fedora user since the beginning of my Linux experience, but I actually like trying other distributions, even if whether for 15 days or 1 month, but I always keep my Fedora in my heart, since the last decisions of Redhat (IBM) I have been keeping an eye on other distributions in order to change my entire system at home, it was then that I discovered ZorinOS, no I know if it's age, but I'm a little tired of using (bleeding edge) and I wanted to try something more stable and without having to work configuring the visual part, because in the end we all like to have our operating system to our liking, personally. I like the simplicity that ZorinOS offers, the configuration mode is very easy and intuitive.
Due to the fact that I have "recent hardware" in relation to the LTS that ZorinOS offers, I only made some small changes, but this is a lot of personal taste, I am using the Linux Kernel 6.6.40-x64v3-xanmod (LTS) I use (AMD-PState -Guided) with the respective configuration in the BIOS to boost your games
and I'm using MESA (kisak/turtle) because I wasn't able to take advantage of my AMD7800XT GPU using LACT Software.
I tried to keep the settings at (LTS) so as not to have problems with many updates to the system, so I have a good balance between work and games.
For peripheral control I'm using Solaar (PPA) to configure the keyboard, mouse and headphones, for AuraRGB I use OpenRGB because I have white LEDs that match my system.
In terms of system software, I use everything in flatpak, I have a list of applications that I use, and with a simple click I removed everything installed and put it in flatpak.
(Remember that all these settings are completely optional and up to your own taste, but with everything I spent 30 minutes configuring, but it's a single setting and that's it)
In the case of my Laptop, I did the normal installation and did absolutely nothing, and I am very happy with the system.
Thank you for this moment of sharing and I hope for a good continuation of work for the ZorinOS team
