[Theme] Clockworks Icons --- under construction

I got a great idea for an icon theme. It will have smaller icons (48px and below) be monochrome and bigger icons (64px and up) have regular icons.

Have a look:

I wonder how it would look if the folder icon would be in place of the cog wheels, in that same faded style

I don't follow you. The folder size 48px and below? I think only the app icons should have the monocrome feature.

I mean in the desktop folders (first screenshot), instead of having the icon "floating", so to speak, in front of the folder, it could be "imprinted" in the folder itself where the cog are.

Forgive me for my poor artistic skills

I just thought that might look nice in that same faded, low-profile style. Maybe an idea for a separate theme?

I understand. I try play with Inkscape and see if I get a happy result.

Maybe it's not such a good idea after all, now it looks too plain :joy:

Hmm ... and when You make the Paper Icon on the left Side in this Blacktone like on the right Side?

I gave it same treatment as the cogs: Full black with only 30% visibility.

Maybe trying in the Intensity like in the App Icons?

I think I'll keep as it is, for now.

Good lord here you go with a with a brand new icon set and I still havn't figured out how to put the Graystone icons and theme you suggested in the photo below .... I download all the pieces ..... the Graphite Dark and Papirus Icon Theme ....

I put the icons in the .icon folder and the themes in the .theme folder but all I show is the Greystone icons in my Systems Settings/Theme .... neither the Graphite or Papirus show up any where .... :sob: .... yea I know sometimes I'm a bit incompetent ....

By the way anyone know how I can turn my spelling checker back on .... I seem to have misplaced ..... LOL

Do you have installed gnome tweaks or gnome extension manager and enabled user themes there (if you use gnome, for xfce it is not needed)?
Do you have extracted the theme before you put it into the themes folder?
Did you close gnome tweaks, logout and then login again?

Generally speaking, it should be enough to search for "spell", "spelling" or something around those lines within the browser's settings:

Firefox:

Brave:

I like the cogs. You could add floating SteamPunk icons over the cogs. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Did You downloaded it from @Storm's github Page or from gnome-look.org? I have downloaded it (from the 2nd) and it works without a Problem for me.

Did You have extracted the downloaded File? Because that is a compressed File. when You move this in the .icons and .themes Folder, it will not work.
