Upgrade from Zorin 15 to Zorin 16 problem

Currently, there is no Upgrade Path from Zorin OS 15 to Zorin OS 16.

Can you please detail what steps you tried so far?

WARNING: False Direct Upgrade being promoted

This has been noted on the forum in a thread: Claim: That changing the Sources for Zorin OS to focal and then running "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade" will upgrade Zorin OS 15 to Zorin OS 16. Help Please, Error Upgrade Zorin 16 (Reddit instruction failed)

Upgrade path for Zorin 15 to 16 will be supplied later this year. But it is workable if you have a functioning Zorin installation. This upgrade would not work on the current broken installation you have.

Downgrade instead of upgrade (Reddit instruction failed)

Doing clean install is maximum 15 min work. Than you can easily setup your desktop, restore backup etc. As @FrenchPress said, upgrade can not help you atm. Clean install is solution. We can guide you trough this if you want
