Are you dual Booting with Windows?
Secure Boot is for Windows Only. It is a lot like a bouncer at a bar with a list of invited guests. If someone is not on the list, they don't get in.
MS signed many Linux packages (in good faith) but did not sign them all...
Booting with Secure Boot enabled on Linux can be risky that some drivers won't get initialized.
