Worth it to buy Pro since the "normal" OS does not work properly on new hardware?

I really love the OS but I tried it on two different Intel Core Ultra 2nd gen Laptops and it seems like the hardware is not supported properly in the same way on both (Latest Dell XPS 13 and latest Zenbook S14). I ran all kinds of commands and updates, I invested like 10 hours into getting everything working but nothing went well. This is why I wanted to ask if it is worth buying the Pro version and if the Devs will be able to get it running then.
Here are just the main issues listed, no idea what else does not work since I focused on that:

-Wifi doesnt work, says it does not detect an adapter, so I had to use my phone via a USB C tethering hotspot...
-Bluetooth does not work the same way
-Brightness adjustment does not work
-120hz can not be selected
-Keyboard brightness can not be changed
-Audio does not work at all

Zorin OS Pro does not offer additional functionality: Zorin OS is not a pay-for service.

So the answer to your question is "No." Downloading Zorin OS Pro will not 'fix' any hardware compatibility issues.

If this hardware is very new, you may need later hardware support.
Have you yet tried installing the most recent kernel on your Zorin OS install on these notebook computers?

Regarding audio, you may need to switch the audio device; Zorin often defaults to the wrong one in my experience. If you click the speaker icon in your task bar, and then the arrow to the right of the volume slider, you should get a list of output devices.

My searching suggests that the processor in an XPS 13 is Arrow Lake architecture, which is indeed only a few months old. If you'd like to try updating the kernel as Aravisian suggested may be needed, JGlover provided easy to follow instructions for the Xanmod kernel here:

This is not the default mainline kernel (differences are listed on xanmod.org), but I haven't seen any recent posts for the generic kernel. I'm running the xanmod kernel myself successfully. Make sure not to follow the Nvidia driver update instructions in the same thread, since the XPS has Intel Arc graphics.

The other consideration to take into account is Zorin is based on Ubuntu 22.04. I would follow @Locklear93 and @Aravisian's advice.
You could try PCLinuxOS Debian Editions until Zorin 18 is released as an alternative option. They do xfce, Cinnamon, MATE, Plasma and Budgie Desktop Environments and use a higher kernel (Liquorix) than Zorin 17.

Welcome to the Forum!

Maybe You need a newer Kernel for Your CPU. There should come Kernel 6.11 in a couple Weeks.

Did You take a Look in the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab in Software & Updates if there are any Drivers offered?

What Graphics do you have? And does Your System runs in Wayland or X11/Xorg? When You have an Nvidia Card Xorg would be the better way at the Moment. To switch, go to the Login Screen (not the Lock Screen). Simply reboot for that. On the Login Screen click on Your Profile so that the Password Field appears. It has to be appeared. When it is appeared, You should see a Gear Icon. Click on it and choose the Option ''Zorin Desktop on Xorg'' and then log in.

Switching to Xorg could help with Your other Stuff, too. So, it would be worth a Try anyway in my Opinion.

Maybe Pulse Audio Volume control could help. It is a Tool to set up Audio Input and Output. You can install it with the Terminal Command sudo apt install pavucontrol
And it would be good, when You could describe a bit more detailed what doesn't work on Your Audio.

Trust me, i tried installing and looking for everything possible, I spent more hours on it than I can count. Both of these Laptops run the same new Intel Ultra Core 2nd gen processors and have no additional GPU. I literally tried everything and according to ChatGPT the main issue is, that Zorin is probably just outdated and does not support the latest hardware, which is a huge disappointment...

Yeah, after trying all fixes that probably exist, according to ChatGPT it seems like that Zorin is just not up to date regarding the latest hardware. The Ubuntu version is outdated for it.

Then I would think it is the Kernel. You could wait for the upcoming 6.11 Kernel and in the Meantime try Pop OS or Fedora.

Zorin has an older Base, yes but it isn't outdated. It still gets Updates and is supported. On an LTS Distro, You don't have the newest Software.
