Worth it to buy Pro since the "normal" OS does not work properly on new hardware?

Regarding audio, you may need to switch the audio device; Zorin often defaults to the wrong one in my experience. If you click the speaker icon in your task bar, and then the arrow to the right of the volume slider, you should get a list of output devices.

My searching suggests that the processor in an XPS 13 is Arrow Lake architecture, which is indeed only a few months old. If you'd like to try updating the kernel as Aravisian suggested may be needed, JGlover provided easy to follow instructions for the Xanmod kernel here:

This is not the default mainline kernel (differences are listed on xanmod.org), but I haven't seen any recent posts for the generic kernel. I'm running the xanmod kernel myself successfully. Make sure not to follow the Nvidia driver update instructions in the same thread, since the XPS has Intel Arc graphics.
