Wow. I use MX Linux XFCE, right? Not Zorin OS. (I used to use Zorin OS before, and paid for the "pro" version for Zorin OS 17 before dropping Zorin due to buggy performance.) So I happened to notice a bug not more than 15 minutes ago (in MX Linux), and I dutifully posted about it in their forum (as a bug report). BOOM! A few minutes later, I get notified that an update is available. Lo and behold, it was a fix for the very same bug I'd reported minutes ago. Wow. Just wow. MX Linux is a godsend. The team is wonderful. Developers are "in touch" with the community. They "get it." Only if Artyom and Kyrill were the same way. Sadly, they are not. That is the truth.

Yes, they were good at identifying why the Tiled Menu in latest Plasma release I installed did not work correctly because the developer of the menu had not been active for some time.
Another great distro where Devs partake in the forum is Artix.

I'm guessing they have more that two developers... ? I get it, the Zorin brothers don't interact very much. Most Zorin users wish they would but they never have and are unlikely to change, no matter how much people have the need to be taken notice of. We all have the choice you made - accept it or move on to another OS with more attentive developers. Glad you found yours!

MX Linux is still a small-ish team. They have more than two developers, but it's still a small number. Maybe 5 people, I believe. I don't expect both Artyom and Kyrill to communicate every single minute about what's going on, nor would most reasonable people. But how about a monthly blog, at the very least? Also, Zorin Grid has been in the "works" for years and years with no smidgen of progress. At this point, it's like Zorin OS is like a cash grab for them while they (seemingly) take advantage of the generosity, goodwill, and valuable expertise of forum regulars like @Aravisian (and so on) for free. I know "cash grab" may come off as a little harsh and whatnot, but that's how it feels like, honestly. It feels like they slap the Zorin OS skin on Ubuntu then call it a day while not doing proper bugfixes prior to (or soon after) release.
Well to be fair they have been donating considerable amounts to other projects.
Now let's take a look at Thee Mahn who created Ultimate Edition. A one man show creating tons of stuff and always on the forums. Sadly, all his major works have been lost due to hackers. His current work is Arch based, but sadly Google centric when it comes to browsing.

I find this wording interesting. It can be quite accurate. But that you use it here implies that valid complaints are just an attention seeking effort. That is not accurate.
Such a brush off discourages valuable feedback.
And it can enable poor treatment of end users, were such an idea widely accepted.
In the forum guidelines, what is clear is to examine the merit of a statement, not to claim a personal motive to a poster.
It is a good method to mitigate a bias.
Without blogs or posted content, we can examine the merit of this claim, for example.
A rather quick audit of what is different in Zorin OS compared to Ubuntu demonstrates many configuration changes, under the hood adjustments that go beyond the skin. One example would be the back burner of Snap. It is permitted, but not given it's Canonical front row seat.
Zorin OS brings a large number of in-built applications and extensions, too.
The ZorinGroup cannot test or verify the Kernel Teams output, either. They have no more capacity to do that than we do - and bug fixes on Zorin OS tend to be very Quick.
The rest of the commentary is genuine, however. I, personally, am not here for Artyom or Kyrill Zorin. I do not dislike them. Nor, do I like them. They are strangers to me.

I am not here to get the ZorinGroup's attention. Given some of what I say, I suspect I would not like that attention very much.
I, too, find it frustrating that the ZorinGroup is not a part of the community they founded.

There comes a time for any person where they get tired of trying to move mountains, with few others offering to help do any of the lifting.

I think the way I speak and my "Englishness" can come across as sarcastic, which was not my intention, and although I stand by my thoughts, maybe I should choose my wording more carefully. The last thing I want is to discourage valuable feedback.

I have been speaking English my entire life. It is my primary language. And I still can't get it right.
I have never been sure if it is part the language and part my brain.
