ZORIN 17.1 education wont install from live drive

hi
if i can easily install ZORIN 17.1 Core with usb3 pendrive on iMac 2009, but the education version fails after EFI boot, ending with:

[95.839330] I/O error, dev sdb, sector 172251264 op 0x0: (READ) flags 0x08700 phys_seq 1 prio class 2

BusyBox v1.30.1 (Ubuntu 1:1.30.1-7ubuntu3) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs)

I have downloaded the iso 3 times, from different servers, i've installed the live drive with balena etcher and netbootui, nothing does ..

thanks for this nice piece of work btw
this 17th version looks gorgeous

Have you see this basic pre-installation advice here: Before you install

Particularly, verify the SHA256 checksum of the downloaded .iso before using it to create a live USB. (I know you say you downloaded the .iso 3 times, but still a chance it could have been corrupted regardless of attempts.)

I posted articles from a Linux Guide in 7-zip format on the old forum here:

Like @zabadabadoo wrote is checking the Checksum a good Point. Here are Instructions to that:

Another Point could be the Tool to create the bootable Stick. If You should have the Possibility to create one on Windows Rufus is a good Tool.

For Mac there would be Unetbootin or the Fedora Media Writer.

thanks for your replies. as mentioned i'm not facing a media issue as i can install zorin core (and have installed many others).
sha is fine. however, i have downloaded the file a 4th time with a different browser (brave instead of safari) and it worked.

the md5 check lasted 8 hours.

as i cannot replicate, i will close the thread. thank you all for your concern
