Zorin can't remember app windows placement

Hi,

When i restart Zorin 16.2 the OS does not remember my apps windows placement. My FireFox is all over the place, same with Spotify, Brave etc.

How to fix this issue?

Is there anyway to make Ubuntu 22.04 remember the size and location of windows?

This is also applicable to Ubuntu 20.04 and Zorin OS 16.2.

It is a Gnome issue and that may be why some users are unfamiliar with it if they switch to a Gnome desktop from XFCE (Zorin OS Lite) or Cinnamon or Mate (Linux Mint).

I noticed that only some windows remember their size and position. I asked about this some time ago and Hallimax suggested installing Smart Auto Move and also provided a guide link.

Saving windows position and size

Is it possible to make any window save its position and size when closed so next time they open on the same state? It's really useful when opening always the same stuff that's used more frequently. Maybe a good feature would be to be able to mark the window to memorize its position and size rather than setting it for all, to memorize window position and (an icon with these 3 in 1, or anything similar) to memorize window size.
