Zorin freezes after wake up from "sleep" mode

I've tried everything but I have no solution. I'm using an AMD A8 7650K / 11GB RAM /256 SSD.

Try to go manually into suspend by pressing the button in start menu and disable the automatic suspend. Some computers have problems with suspend mode in Linux.
If you have a notebook and you have problems when you go into suspend by lidclosing also disable suspend by lidclosing. You can do this with gnome-tweaks.

Welcome to the Forum!

Is this a Laptop what You use or a PC?

Hi. It's a desktop PC.

Okay. Could You post Screenshots from Settings>Energy and Settings>Privacy>Display please?

Only to confirm that:

Nunca: Never
Apagado: Off
Apagar: Shutdown/Turn off

Is that correct?

And how looks that in Settings>Privacy>Display?

Here?

Yes, right. And Thank You for switching the Language. that looks so far good to me. You could try it with disabled ''Automatic Screen Lock'' and ''Lock Screen on Suspend''.

Update. I had the same issue with:

  • Zorin 18 Beta
  • Zorin 17 Lite
  • Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon

It seems that could be an AMD issue.

Wake from sleep has never worked for me on Linux, always crashes. I've just gotten used to never using sleep function, and disabling it in power settings.

(Possible workaround) Someone on the forum mentioned, to manually activate sleep function instead, so I guess thats something you could try, but I wouldn't hold any hopes of that working.

PS: I have an Nvidia GPU, I have same issue.
