Zorin install failed

Hi,
Trying to fully install Zorin Linux on HP laptop running XP, I’ve got to the page which gives various options to try it from the USB thumb drive or install it onto the laptop but I can’t select any option the page is frozen.

After about 5 minutes another page appears like some kind of error report full of stuff like Linux Panic and Dumps and with a flashing curser on the bottom of the page.

I don’t believe the USB drive is corrupted because I tried it on another laptop running Win 10 and I was able to run Zorin from the USB drive. I can’t figure out what’s going wrong guys.

Could you share the specs of the laptop? Or the model number? Also, are you by any chance trying to install the Lite version? Lite might be best suited for your laptop.

Have you switched off fast boot and secure boot in the BIOS?
If you are using dual boot with Windows: Have you switched off fast start in Windows?
When creating the USB boot stick, did you make sure to select the correct file format for your PC? If you have an older legacy BIOS (which I suspect if XP was installed on it), you should select MBR, and if you have UEFI, GPT.
It is recommended to install Zorin lite on old hardware.
Is AHCI enabled if you use a SSD and RAID if you use a hard disk?
Do you have a 32 BIT System architecture or 64 BIT of your processor? Zorin 17 is only available for 64 BIT.
Or it may be that the .iso file is damaged when it looks like here:

In addition to previous advice, read some basic pre-installation advice here: Before you install

Important you check the SHA256 checksum of the downloaded .iso file is verified against the published value on the Zorin website. See: Check the Integrity of Your Copy of Zorin OS - Zorin Help

I have a basic question, was the drive mistakenly loose? If you've tried booting multiple times and it still gives issues, then you can try and follow the existing help by the above members!
