Zorin Os 17 release

Hopefully this will be the case. It would be a lovely Christmas present to be able to install the stable version.
I take this opportunity to wish the Zorin Community a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024.

Hello:
Something that really catches my attention in Zorin Os 17 beta is the section corresponding to translation, in which you are invited to collaborate. I have never seen something like this in Ubuntu or Linux Mint betas, does it mean that once the translations are 100% complete, only then the stable version of Zorin Os 17 will be released?

I am patient to Z17

No, it doesn't. While Zorin OS is a community effort in certain ways, the ZorinGroup cannot delay a release in hopes of community response.

With Zorin OS 16 and Zorin OS 15, not all of the translations reached 100%.

Do we know for sure that switching from beta 17 to stable 17 is possible without clean install ? I didnt saw , at least for now some info regarding that from Zorin.

The final features should be stated with the official stable release, but in case of doubt just give it a few days until someone can confirm it works.

But I think it should be possible, as I remember it was on 16

I will try it on a virtual machine first so I'll let you know

I never used virtual machine. It is boring and not adventurous

Does a spare laptop work then ? I've been meaning to try Aravisian's post on changing the boot type anyway, so that's two stones with one bird :bird:

I have only one , main laptop. I like to play with linux  it is fun. But before. Now I am finding a way to settle and play less , hehe

Linux is good for webbrowser and windows for gaming.
Besides some software never will working on linux but only for windows.
That why people who playing many years on windows and that game not working on linux they don't move to linux. That is the point with all operating systems. Software and gaming behaviour people choice what they want for they purpouse and suit.

Yes, you can upgrade to Zorin OS 17 Stable from Zorin OS 17 Beta just by using the software updater (Not the Zorin Upgrader Tool).

I generally recommend a clean install for peace of mind. I admit, I never did a clean install on Zorin OS 16 Beta to Zorin OS 16 stable, though.

I must sayed when I using linux i learned i don;t need thousand application what exist in the world.
Linux really learning many things. How to not be a donkey.

I am curious what the product tax will be for the green zone and carbon dioxide production. Anyone have any idea?
Last year, Covid affected the price of Zorin 16. I wonder how the "green deal" will affect the price of Z17
