Zorin os completely freezing including mouse every few hours, requiring reboot

so i have just installed zorin os 18.1 core. have a zenbook 14 ryzen ai 5 340 with radeon graphics, 16gb ram. i am currently running zorin os as a dual boot alongside windows 11, and since ive installed the OS, every few hours, the entire display freezes, keyboard, mouse nothing works and i have to force restart the laptop. using Alt + print + R E I S U B does work to restart, its either that or pressing and keeping the power button for a restart.
how do i fix this issue.

oh okay, i ran the commands mentioned in that post, is there a way for me to run a test to confirm the issue is gone or ill just have to wait a day to see the results?

perfect, now of course you will have to wait but I think your freeze problem will be gone, I had the same problem and since 2 weeks none freeze and my computer is alive 24/24 :wink:

Welcome to the Forum!

@Nourpon might already have found the actual Issue, but to check some other Points only the be sure:

  • Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled?
  • Is Your BIOS in UEFI or Legacy Mode?
  • What Tool did You use the create the Bootstick?
  • Is Fast Start-Up in Windows disabled?

thank you so much but my problem was solved, it was an amd gpu issue

So how was it fixed. Replaced the GPU? changed kernel version? Be nice to know and to inform others.
