Zorin pro With Layouts

i have installed Zorin pro 17 onto my computer and using the mac layout which i really like. i don't really need all the programs that come with pro , and at install i did not notice the minimal download with the extra layouts, is there a way without reinstalling to make Zorin pro minimal and still keep layouts, or is there a way to make core like mac

The only way is to uninstall the extra applications you do not want.
This can be done with one terminal command by using sudo apt remove followed by each program name you want to remove, with one space in between each name. Each name must be the recognized package name.

With a little tinkering, you can also get a Mac layout in core.

Many mac themes you can find here:

The minimal install of Zorin pro should include the layouts, so maybe you're faster with a fresh minimal install of Zorin pro.

On the website at frequently asked questions about Zorin pro you can read:

"Can I install Zorin OS Pro without the creative suite and advanced productivity tools?
Yes, while installing Zorin OS Pro to your computer you can select the "Minimal installation" option to keep just the core selection of apps, premium desktop layouts in Zorin Appearance, and additional artwork."

There would only be the Option to uninstall the Software, You not want. You could uninstall it over the Terminal like @Aravisian already has mentioned. I only want add something to this:

Because You have 3 different Package Formats, You would have to look how to uninstall the Software depending on the Package Format of the induvidual Software.

@Aravisian already mentioned the sudo apt remove Command. That and the Command sudo apt purge is for .deb/APT Packages.

For Snap Packages, You have to use snap remove --purge and then the Package Names. For Flatpak You need flatpak uninstall --delete-data and then the Package Name.

To get the Package Name type flatpak list or snap list to get an Output list of the installed Packages with the Names. For the APT Package Names, You could use the Terminal, too. I go there a different Way: I open Main Menu and look there for the Entries and click on ''Properties''.

Yes, there is a Way. In core, open Gnome Software and search for Extension Manager:

Install it and then open. On the Manage Tab disable the Zorin Taskbar Extension. Then go to the Browse Tab and search for ''dash to dock'' and install it. Then You get a Dock at the Bottom of the Desktop.

for Theming @Forpli already posted Links. I would add to that:

I see you have not replied to the various suggestions. If it were me, I would re-install Zorin Pro 17, as you will still have the extra desktop layouts if you do a minimal install. If you decide to install Zorin Core separately, you could then install XFCE as DE instead of Gnome. This will give you a layout with small panel at the top, and a large dock at bottom. Alternatively, you could install Zorin Pro Lite (XFCE) alongside you Gnome version, where you will still have the mac layout available. Quite a few people on the forum use Zorin Lite. If you look at the email received from Zorin about installing the system you will find Zorin Pro Lite download offered as well. I use Zorin Pro Lite only, as I prefer XFCE to Gnome (they look almost identical, except the XFCE is I think, lighter and more adaptable).
There is no problem using more than one copy of Pro for your personal use.
