Hi, I have recently passed to Zorin Core from Linux Mint, with great improvements from an aesthetic point of view, and the fluidity of the system, however, I realized that I had not found two very useful functions that were present on Mint, or the posability given Through a specific extension of being able to compress JPG and PDF files through a function that was selected by clicking with the right button on the file, is there something similar also on Zornin?
Hi, welcome to Zorin OS!
What do you mean by "compress"? On Linux Mint I have an option on the context menu called "Compress..." but that only creates an archive, similar to .zip files. It does not do any image manipulation. Did you not install maybe something else separately?
In any case, I'm pretty sure that you'd have to use some sort of extension for that either way, as I'm not sure something like that exists out of the box. I would recommend looking into this thread to setup the context menu for the images:

Hi
For quick PDF compression without installing anything you can also use an online tool like compress PDF files from ilovepdf2.com which works directly in the browser and is helpful when you just need a fast solution
If you're looking for a built-in extension, sometimes the Nautilus "Image Converter" or "PDF Resizer" scripts work well, but they can be a bit hit or miss depending on which version of Zorin you're running.
If you just need to get it done quickly without messing with terminal commands or broken extensions, I usually just use a web tool to save the headache. I've had decent luck with PDF Compressor - Reduce PDF File Size Online for PDFs lately - it's pretty straightforward and doesn't seem to mess up the formatting as much as some of the others.
