When i turn on my pc, it goes into the BIOS and i have to boot zorin manually from there every time. how do i make it to where when i turn on my pc it goes STRAIGHT into zorin?
Is Zorin the only OS? Is it dual-boot? Have you got Secure Boot enabled? Fast Boot enabled?
it is not dual boot and i honestly don't know about secure or fast boot where do i check?
I think you'll have to edit the grub parameters and set the timeout to 0. Based on some other threads I've ran into, I'd recommend leaving it at 1 to avoid problems in the future.
If it is a GRUB timeout issue I would not make it any less than 5 seconds. Ext4 FS is a journaling file system, and NTFS in Windows is also a journaling system and the recommendation there is not less than 5 seconds. interestingly, Q4OS automatically sets GRUB timeout to 5 seconds. The default for Zorin is 10.
Try to make it 5, yeah. Best to give you some room for error.
I would not advise setting the grub timeout too low just to save a few seconds on boot, it is false economy. The timeout allows you time to select "Advanced Options for Zorin" and other tools if you have issues.
