Sir here again it stopped in this screen. It is not going to tty terminal like before.
Can you power off then on again, then to the Grub Recovery menu...
Drop to Root Prompt
sudo nano /etc/default/grub
Find this line:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
Change it to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset"
ctrl+x to exit. The y key to say yes, then the enter key
Now, run sudo update-grub
Exit the recovery menu and try Resume Normal Boot...
Okay sir I am doing that. Please wait for some time.
@anon96359095 , did we ever try booting up from the earlier kernel?
Sir it is saying "root account is locked"
Ok... We will skip trying that for now (It was a shot in the dark, anyway)
Adarshmeher, had you previously selected and tried booting from an earlier kernel?
No sir, how to do that?
Advanced Options for Zorin
Then arrow key down to Zorin with 5.11.0-37 or 5.11.0-38...
Okay sir I am trying
Thanks for all of your patience.
Sir I don't have 37 or 38. I have only the option of 41 and 34
Sir, which should I enter ?
try the 5.11.0-34
Okay sir.
Well... we have established it is not the kernel, not GDM3 or Gnome...
Sir, what to do now ?
If it was me... I would reinstall Zorin OS.
Did you make Back Ups prior to this system failure?
If you did not... We can try booting from LiveUSB and accessing your files that way and moving them to a separate drive.
But I think a Full Reinstall of the OS is really the only option left.
Sir I also thinked that before but I have installed a lot of big softwares which will be deleated after reinstalling.
I don't want to delete all that softwares.
Is there no another way left ?
