I tone the dark background up by 5%. The logos got shadow behind them.

Yes. I can easely convert it to any colors.

Then I would suggest a white, slightly greyish Light for it.

Hmm ... it is relatively blue-ish in my Opinion. Maybe more white and a bit less grey.

I am wondering if shading on right side as well as bottom of icon, with brighness added botttom right corner would display a more pronounced 3D effect. Just a thought. No cricitism of what I have seen so far.

I dunno. I think it's to late to change the concept now, because I have been working on it for awhile now.

I've been playing with Imagemagick and ffmpeg lately, and managed to convert some interesting pixel art videos from live wallpapers into gif images.

Playing it in the background in a loop takes a surprising amount of memory, though, about the same than playing a video in VLC... Probably not worth it but I might still use this for a lock screen or when taking breaks, etc.
