Share your desktop, what does it look like?

Would you be so kind as to put that wallpaper in the bag? This is a robbery :backpack: :person_fencing:

In exchange for your generosity, I'll trade you this one that I found a few weeks back made by Jeremy Paillotin:

Well, it fits better with the Colors and the Pixel Look is nice, too. But the Conky on the left side is a bit big.

I suspect it is possible, but I have little experience with .CSS editing . @Aravisian or @Storm would know far more than I when it comes to that. Check the customization sub-forum and start a thread if needed.

@AliReda @Winged1, it is not really possible. The way the panel handles the window geometry and compositing, the panel space is reserved as a rectangle.

So even if you apply a radius to the corners, there will be unfilled black corners.

The workaround would be to cut the wallpaper background image top, use that as the fake 'transparency', then create an image that lays on top of that as the rounded panel - can be done using an image or .css. This would work because nothing moves into that area, anyway - so it would appear as if it was transparent.
But... it would make changing your wallpaper a match game.

Is there any alternative to xfce4-panel that offers more features, such as rounded corners?

While no longer active maintained, it is still functional: cairo-dock allows it and manages transparency - it has a lot of features and settings.
The reason it works is because it operates on cairo, which is actively maintained.

The Cinnamon desktop environments panel also works with transparency for a rounded corner panel.

Also, please review this thread. ToZ is a powerhouse for XFCE customizing:

What I refer to above is the artifacts others mention - but I would still recommend you do try some of the suggestions first as you may have more luck.
I have not tried rounding corners since an earlier XFCE version.

EDIT: I did just test ToZ's first suggestion in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css and successfully rounded all panel corners. But on my Dark wallpaper and dark background, i cannto be sure if the artifacts are present.

Note: The previous video had poor quality. This one is the same as the old video, but with much better quality.

I understand your point, but not everyone customizes Linux for the same reason. Some people just feel more comfortable with a familiar interface while they learn Linux. Itโ€™s about choice โ€” and thatโ€™s exactly what Linux is all about.
