Speaker and microphone not detected

I already disabled write protection on my Chromebook by :

  • removing the battery
  • connect computer to sector
  • typing a command
  • shutdown it
  • put the battery back

In my BIOS there isn't all that options

OK time for me to go offline..
please read the disable fast boot again it's not in your BIOS... it's under power options...

Not sure if developer mode is the same as "write protection" but it needs to be Enabled,, not disabled.
as you can see there is something common to have the issue repeat itself , we have check usb drives, so last is machine config,...

I try to see if anyone else is online that maybe able to help further.

ignore than & follow the part that shows you fast boot in "Power options"

I wonder if it is how the boot medium was set for Zorin. For example, I have (had) a MultiSystem memory stick/thumb drive whatever you want to call it. MultiSystem was set to USB in BIOS, however, having added Hiren's Boot CD, this requires that the MultiSystem USB is set to boot off USB UEFI. Just a thought - expanding those two sub menus on Boot menu of BIOS would have been useful!

I also overlooked you photo of your BIOS,,
It list's Default boot.. Boot menu & boot manager...
can you tell me what's in both "boot menu & boot manager" ?

Boot menu :

Boot manager :

wow ok ty i've never seen or used a chromebook :+1:
All i can find online atm refers back to this developer mode,,

May i ask was there a reason to delete the OS from your chromebook?

I'm a little concerned with the 3.7gb ram, That's nearly 10% of a 4gb ram, ( the machine may need a good clean & service, & have the ram tested, along with tested all other item's ( cpu/MB/etc )

Q: when installing how are you connected to the internet?
Is there anything else connected to the chrome book ( other than in install drive)?

The developer mode doesn't enable all that, the BIOS was installed separately with MrChromebox script.

I found Linux (real Linux, not a VM) better at all points, I was limited with the ports opened, the compatibility of programs, the rapidity...

And my internal storage passed from 64Gb to 32Gb and I've no idea why  I formatted all and I've still only 32Gb .

My Chromebook has WIFI.

My mouse and sometimes my external disk but nothing else.

Yes I guess

It's on that website if you wanna know : https://mrchromebox.tech/

So this is your ssd ?

32gb isn't enough you need 50-60gb of hard drive

I'm talking to you with ZorinOS installed on this 32Gb SD Card (I think it's an SD card).
But I also have an external SSD of 500Gb

Are you trying to install Zorin on a SD card?

I don't know if it's a SD Card but Gnome Disks say it
