Then I would suggest to switch to the Kernel before to check if it could be a Kernel Issue. You can do that in the GRUB Menu. Choose the Option ''Advanced Options'' and choose the Kernel Version before.
You are right! The update installed the version 6.80-65 . I switched back at boot to 6.80-60 and now it works again! Thanks! Is it now always booting the 6.80-60 version or do I have to change some settings to do it?
Yes, You have to set that up. Here is a Guide for it:
The set default solution didnt work, he still booted back to the newer one. I now removed the new kernel completly:
That worked pretty well. I guess that means this is the reason it didnt worked. The newer kernels are bugged with this touch pad.
The instructions only work when you have selected the old kernel for booting and run sudo update-grub after editing the file. It would be good if you tried it again, otherwise the next kernel update may disrupt your system again.
Just out of interest: Does Zorin lite also stutter on your machine or is it better now?
it doesnt stutter anymore. But everything is now smaller. And I cant choose a scaling between 1x and 2x. 1,25 or 1,30 would be nice to have, the symbols are pretty small
I wouldn't recommend to enable fractional scaling with low ram. You could increase the font size, play with the accessibility settings or increase the taskbar (change height and
icons>adjust size automatically or set a fix value) and desktop icon size.
Ah ok. I thought my RAM of 8GB was enough. But maybe I play around with some values.
